A gray area (biblically speaking) is any matter that is not clearly commanded, prohibited, or permitted in Scripture.
“How to Make Godly Decisions in Grey Areas,” is about giving us principles to help us know God’s will when decisions feel difficult.
Join Dr. David Sanchez and Soli-Deo Indonesian Church as we explore the current woke culture, how to think biblically about LGBTQ+ issues, and how to minister to people struggling with these issues.
Parents and youth are highly encouraged to attend the sermon as foundation for further Workshop discussion.

About The Speaker
David Sanchez is the director of Ethics & Justice for the Christian Life Commission1for Texas Baptists2. He speaks to youth and adults at churches and events all over Texas.
David has over 20 years of ministry experience. He served most recently as the Youth Pastor and English Minister at Chinese Baptist Church of Fort Worth.
He was also the Music and Youth Minister at Brownwood Bible Fellowship.
Dr. Sanchez has served as an adjunct professor at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (SWBTS) and L.R. Scarborough College, the SWBTS Liberal Arts college. He has taught courses pertaining to Biblical Greek, New Testament studies, advanced composition and Theological vocabulary. During his time at SWBTS, he also served as an ESL instructor and a Biblical language tutor.
Dr. Sanchez received his bachelor’s degree from Howard Payne University in ESL instruction. He earned a Master’s of Art in Theology in Biblical Studies with a Missions minor from SWBTS. Sanchez’s Master’s thesis was entitled: “Paul’s Instructions to the Corinthians Concerning Idol Meat: Principles for Decision Making in Grey Areas.”
Dr. Sanchez has also received a doctorate in New Testament Studies from SWBTS.
When he is not preaching, David enjoys streaming retro video games on Twitch on his channel “Bits for Bytes” where donates all the money he makes from his stream to the Texas Baptist Hunger Offering2. His other hobbies include swimming, sewing, and writing songs to play on his Ukulele.
David has a wife, Amanda, and a 9-year-old daughter, Naomi. He speaks beginner and intermediate-level Chinese and Spanish, respectively.

very inspiring from David Sanchez how we face LGBTQ people and their movement. It’s a blessing for us to hear the message from him. I think all churches now has to rise up and being open to talk about this topic. We all need to be relevant with what’s going on in America. if not, they will leave the church and find the truth from somewhere else. Good job Solideo!
